Starting 2010 in New York City

It’s 2010 and I am in New York City! It is so cold, but this won’t stop me getting out and about!
While I am here in New York I hope to visit:

The Museum of Modern Art. There is a Tim Burton exhibition running until April that I hear is fantastic.

The Guggenheim Museum. The Kadinsky, is coming to a close on Jan 13, 2010.

A View from the Bridge. I am super excited to see Scarlet Johansson’s Broadway debut in A View from the Bridge, the new revival of Arthur Miller’s classic tragedy.

Paris – June 2009

On my way to Estonia, I spent a few days in Paris with my family. After a fairly average flight with Finnair (do not fly BKK to HEL, they still have the old planes with the big video screens that they keep on ALL night with movies or the flying map), our luggage didn’t arrive with us at CDG. Eventually it came two days later, so I got to buy a few new things thanks to Finnair. Lets hope I see the money when I put in my claim!

Worldmate releases iPhone app, finally!

Worldmate has finally released an iPhone app. Worldmate used to be my travel itinerary manager of choice when I worked off a blackberry, but I switched to TripIt when I began using my iPhone. Although neither had an iPhone “app”, at least Tripit had a iphone friendly browsing experience. At the time (July 08?) Worldmate’s stance was that their users didn’t have iphones so they had no plans for iPhone product development. I guess they must have …

Take care, Garnier

A wait of over one hour at the 2009 Australian Open can get you a professional hair styling experience at Garnier world.
Note the fantastic asymmetry of the look. Take (lots of) care, (when subjecting yourself to) Garnier…

Darwin to Adelaide, a 3,200km adventure down the Stuart Highway

In September 2008, I travelled from Darwin to Adelaide through the Centre of Australia, 3200km on the Stuart Highway. The tour was with Adventure Tours Australia and you can see the Itinerary here – 14 Day Darwin to Adelaide Tour. I posted my photos directly to the map below during my trip using my iPhone, (a true test of the Optus 3G network) and three other helpful utilities:

Shozu – allows you to upload photos from your iphone to many different …

The view from one of the lookouts on Dutchmans Stern.

Driving through the Clare with pit stop at Knappstein wines.

And finally we arrive in Adelaide; the view from the Hilton!
